Never. Your InstaTrack account is separate from Instagram. You download your official export from Instagram's Accounts Center and open the ZIP locally — parsing runs entirely in your browser.
Both work. JSON is recommended because it includes follow timestamps (unlocking momentum, busiest-day and "oldest follow" sorting). HTML exports contain the names only, so date-based views show "no date" until you re-analyze a JSON export.
Your Instagram export is parsed on-device with JSZip and is never uploaded. Account credentials and license checks are handled by Supabase, payments by Stripe, and account-scoped snapshots stay in this browser's localStorage. You can delete snapshots from Profile → Data & privacy.
Your confirmed account keeps the web report, Stripe purchase and Windows app tied to one identity. Use that same email and password when you sign in to the desktop app; Stripe receives the confirmed account email automatically.
